Working with Others in Pluralistic Networks of Care
Plural programs are designed to support individuals and teams to develop a skill set that we call Working with Others in Pluralistic Networks of Care. This skill set is comprised of the following interrelated skills and sensibilities:
01 — Coordination
The ability to coordinate more effectively with others, including making more successful requests and offers, and effective declarations.
02 — Listening
The ability to listen beyond what is said – including the ability to openly explore people’s assessments – for the sake of identifying what matters to them, as well as what may necessitate attention and action.
03 — Building trust
The ability to build and restore trust in relationships. When working with others, distrust can regularly emerge. To not get trapped in distrust, it is crucial to learn to more readily recognize its presence, as well as its source, and to take action to restore trust whenever possible.
04 — Navigating Moods
The ability to recognize moods, not get stuck in restrictive moods, like overwhelm, frustration, insecurity or resignation, which hinder collaboration, and cultivate expansive moods, like trust, confidence and serenity, that not only support people to more readily work with others, but to also face uncertainty with increased resilience.
