Our mission is to help people develop the skillset they need to thrive in today’s world.
Why we created Plural
Working effectively with others expands our capacity for action and plays a pivotal role in enhancing our overall sense of well-being.
Whether at work or at home, successfully tending to what needs our care requires regular collaboration with others, including people from diverse professions, backgrounds and geographies, who inevitably have different perspectives, priorities and concerns.
Yet, despite the necessity of cooperation, people often stumble when attempting to do so. Conversations we need to have with one another often do not happen or do not happen well, leading to misunderstandings, poor coordination, conflicts, and missed opportunities. Distrust can pervade our relationships, alongside other moods like anxiety, insecurity, overwhelm and resignation, further hindering our capacity to collaborate. Instead of engaging in conversations required to make something happen, regularly people can find themselves growing distant and more pessimistic about the possibility of successfully caring for what matters to them.
The good news is that we can develop skills and sensibilities that will enhance our ability to work with others.
Rather than avoiding challenging conversations, we can learn to readily engage in them, fostering confidence, trust and a shared commitment to attend to what matters to us and requires our joint care.
